MSC : High voltage IGBTs offer fast switching with low conduction losses

MSC-GE introduces the new XPT IGBT generation from IXYS.
The new Xtreme light Punch Through (XPT) IGBTs are the latest generation of short-circuit rated high voltage IGBTs with fast switching and low conduction losses.
The XPT IGBT has a low VCE (sat) of 1.8 Volts @Inom, 25°C and 2.1 Volts @Inom, 125°C. The positive temperature coefficient making the XPT IGBTs suitable for paralleling in modules or circuits. Combining the XPT IGBT with the recently introduced IXYS SONIC diode delivers fast and soft switching behaviour and gives excellent EMI performance regardless of the level of the switched current.
The latest introduced 1200 Volts XPT IGBTs are rated at 10,15, 25, 35, 50 and 75 Ampere. These IGBTs will be available in standard module and discrete packages at MSC Vertriebs GmbH.
